Exhibition IN MEMORIAM by Yale School of ArchitectureFebruary 2020

Neri&Hu joins the exhibition IN MEMORIAM by Yale School of Architecture. It is an exhibition of about forty architects’ designs for their own tombs — some newly prepared for the occasion, others long built and occupied. Whether meant to preserve one’s memory and beliefs, or provide a space for forgetting, these spatial, formal and procedural interventions present a variety of approaches to a subject rarely probed by contemporary architects. During the course of the exhibition, visitors will be invited to sketch their own ideas, generating questions to be explored by a panel of architects and scholars at the conclusion of the show.

The exhibition will include past examples of the tombs architects have designed for themselves, including Sir John Soane, Enric Miralles, Mimar Sinan, Joze Plecnik, Adolf Loos, among many others.

Contemporary architects who joined the exhibition include Mark Foster Gage, associate dean of the Yale school of architecture; Spain architecture offices Barozzi Veiga and Flores & Prats; British architects Adam Caruso and Adam Nathaniel Furman; American architects Ariane Lourie Harrison, Bryan Cantley, Alan Maskin, Clark Thenhaus and Aniket Shahane; Florencia Pita of Pita & Bloom; Alfie Koetter, Editor and Founder of architectural magazine Project.开幕时间: 2020年2月20日 周四晚8:00
